Dedicated 4 TiB application storage is live
Drive, Watch, ticket attachments, software downloads, and profile pictures now use SCComp dedicated application storage.
What changed
SCComp brought a dedicated 4 TiB application-storage server online and moved uploaded files to it. Drive, Watch media and channel pictures, ticket attachments, hosted software, and customer profile pictures now use isolated storage areas on that server.
What customers receive
• Drive is available with 20 GiB included per account.
• Large uploads can resume after an interruption.
• File owners can create expiring or password-protected public download links.
• Watch and hosted software continue to support fast ranged delivery.
How it is protected
Each application server can reach only its own storage area. The storage firewall accepts file traffic only from the approved origins, application services require their mounts before starting, and the previous local copies are being retained temporarily for rollback verification.
Result
The file services now use the intended high-capacity storage instead of consuming application-server system disks.
