Customer workspace personalization, search, and organization
A customizable customer dashboard, account-scoped command search, activity center, and private device organization are now available.
A workspace customers can make their own
The SCComp customer panel now supports secure account-level personalization without allowing arbitrary HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. Customers can choose system, light, dark, or midnight presentation; select an accent; adjust density and text size; place the sidebar on either side; request stronger contrast or reduced motion; and restore the defaults at any time.
A dashboard built around the work
Dashboard modules can be reordered, hidden, and restored. The new attention inbox brings together email verification, billing issues, support replies, provisioning progress, maintenance, and suspension states. Resource summaries, quick actions, devices, billing, orders, tickets, and recent activity can each be positioned around the customer workflow.
Faster navigation for technical users
Ctrl+K opens the command palette from anywhere in the signed-in customer experience. Account-scoped search finds owned devices by hostname, address, or private alias; commercial records by order or invoice number; tickets by number or subject; and published customer documentation. Customers can also pin frequently used areas to the workspace navigation.
Private device organization
Every owned device can have a private customer-facing alias, environment, icon, color, tags, notes, and structured custom fields. These organizational values do not rename the VM, alter DNS, change provider inventory, or affect billing. They are stored separately from operational records and remain bound to the owning account.
Security and performance
All values are allowlisted and length-bounded. Search results are ownership-scoped, writes retain CSRF protection and audit records, and sensitive settings require a fresh login. Preferences are cached in the signed session to avoid adding a database query to every page. New tables use foreign keys and cascade cleanup with the owning account or device.
This release is the foundation for deeper saved views, notification rules, team access, APIs, and automation while keeping the existing checkout, console, device, billing, and support workflows intact.
