Complimentary VPS provisioning verified end to end
A newly granted VPS completed automatic deployment, guest verification, customer assignment, and public network activation.
SCComp completed a live complimentary VPS deployment through the same durable provisioning path used by the customer platform. The system cloned the validated Ubuntu 24.04 image, applied the requested compute and storage resources, configured the customer network, and withheld delivery until QEMU Guest Agent confirmed the guest identity and assigned address.
The deployment also validated the updated VPS-router integration. After guest readiness was proven, the platform applied and verified the dedicated public IPv4 mapping, inbound policy, source translation, and outbound mail policy across the router pair. The public address and SSH service were reachable after activation.
A hostname verification edge case was corrected for Linux guests that report the short kernel hostname when customers request a fully qualified hostname. The check remains strict against unrelated hostnames. This improves reliability for future automated deployments without weakening the readiness gate.
